In New Delhi, the Fit India Sundays on Cycle will be organised at the iconic Connaught Place with special partners Raahgiri Foundation and the New Delhi Municipal Council. Padmashree wrestler and former Commonwealth Games gold medalist Babita Phogat will be a special guest in the event at the national capital.

New Delhi: Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will be the chief guest in a special edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle rally in Palitana, Bhavnagar on June 29, alongside the nation’s dedicated Swachhata Senanis – India’s frontline cleanliness champions.

Speaking ahead of the very special edition, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, said, “The Fit India Sundays on Cycle initiative resonates Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s call to action for a healthier, cleaner and more active India. Taking this people’s movement forward, the upcoming edition will be particularly meaningful as our ‘Swacchata Senanis’ come together to uphold the essence of the nationwide cycling drive.”

Over 15000 cyclists are expected to join sanitation workers and volunteers from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs pan-India this Sunday. Events will be organised in more than 500 locations nationwide. These cycling drives are conducted by several Khelo India Centres (KICs), Khelo India State Centres of Excellence (KISCEs), SAI Training Centres (STCs), Khelo India Accredited Academies (KIAAs), and National Centres of Excellence (NCOEs) across the country.
