Bunkerhill Golden League 2022-23 season is likely to kick off on 14th August and it is also being supported by Khelo India.

New Delhi: Football Delhi, the governing body of football in Delhi entered into a partnership with Bunkerhill for Football Delhi Golden League 2022-23.

FD Golden League will be called “Bunkerhill FD Golden League” for 2022-23 season.
FD Golden League was started in 2018 with 176 teams and in 2019 it expanded to 236 teams. But after the second season it came to a halt due to pandemic.

On this partnership, Dipak Singh, Chairman, Bunkerhill said ,”Bunkerhill, a name that has over the years, stood for revolutionizing the sports culture in India, has been consistently expanding its vision. As part of the larger initiative of scouting raw talents at the grassroots level & growing its footprint in the National Capital Region, it has partnered Football Delhi’s initiative.”

He further added, “Bunkerhill is super excited to be part of the Football Delhi Golden League as one of the most befitting & biggest Grassroots Leagues in India. As part of the mission, Bunkerhill is going to sponsor Football Delhi Golden League for kids within the age group of 5-10 years.”

“Improvise, Strategize & Conquer are the three pillars of belief on which Bunkerhill has been operating since its inception. It’s the same spirit & belief with which Bunkerhill is expanding its horizon by being a part of FD Golden League.” Said, Dipak Singh.

Shaji Prabhakaran, President Football Delhi stated, “We are excited to get the sponsorship support from Bunkerhill to grow our Grassroots footprint in Delhi. With this support we would be able to engage approx 400 teams in our Golden League which would be an encouraging situation for the growth of Grassroots Football in Delhi NCR.”

He further stated, “Bunkerhill has revived a legacy club like Mohammedan SC after becoming its partner and we are confident that with Bunkerhill partnership football in Delhi will see a much bigger impact beyond Grassroots football in the coming months and years.”

Bunkerhill Golden League 2022-23 season is likely to kick off on 14th August and it is also being supported by Khelo India.

Bunkerhill FD Golden League will be organised in three age groups : Under 7, Under 9 and Under 11. League is open to anyone and everyone. Teams can also field a mixed (girls and boys) team and to encourage more girls, the team fielding more girls are rewarded with higher points on fair play trophy award.
