Football Delhi signs Petroleum Sports Promotion Board as Associate partner for Women’s League

The Football Delhi Women’s Premier League launching on 18th August will witness a total of 9 teams competing in a Double Round Robin format with a total of 72 matches. The Football Delhi Women’s Championship with a total of 15 participating teams will commence on 25th August.

New Delhi: Football Delhi, the governing body of football in Delhi is proud to announce the partnership with Petroleum Sports Promotion board (PSPB) for the Football Delhi Women’s League 2022-23. The Association has signed PSPB as the Associate Sponsor for women’s league 2022-23 season (FD Women’s Premier League and FD Women’s Championship Divisions).

On this partnership, Member Secretary, PSPB, Mr. Vivek Kumar said “PSPB continues it’s endeavours in fuelling Energy in sports and specially Promotion of Women participation in Sport’s. I wish all the participants all the very best.”

Shaji Prabhakaran, President Football Delhi stated ”PSPB has done exceptional work in promoting sports in India and it is very encouraging for all of us in Delhi that PSPB is coming forward to support our women’s league as this partnership would immensely help us further grow women’s football in Delhi and engage more girls into football.”

He further stated, “Women’s league in Delhi is growing strength to strength in each season and PSPB must be complimented for deciding to support women’s football in Delhi.”

Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) was established in June, 1979 and has continued to promote sport all over India since then.
Football Delhi aims to benefit from this collaboration aligning with PSPBs mission to encourage, develop, co-ordinate and organize various sports and games.
