New Delhi: Sudeva Delhi FC will be playing in the Hero I-League 2022-23, the first team ever to
represent the capital in the prestigious league.
Anuj Gupta, President- Sudeva Delhi FC and Atsushi Nakamura, Head Coach and first ever
Japanese coach in India, were present with few players, in the press conference to inform the media about the preparations and new home ground of the club, Chhatrasal Stadium in Model Town, which has a newly laid pitch. When asked about the required facilities for the I-League matches at Chhatrasal Stadium, Anuj Gupta said, “yes, we have checked and Chhatrasal Stadium is fit to host I-League matches. It has a full Ground and required numbers of rooms for the players and officials.”

Have your players got the chance to practice on the main pitch of Chhatrasal Stadium? ” No, they have not got a single practice session yet, but we have still few days and we will definitely do some practice sessions before the match,” said Anuj Gupta.

Sudeva Delhi FC is all set to host the Hero I league matches in Delhi, for the first time ever.
The upcoming edition of Hero I League 2022-23 will feature 12 teams from all across the
India. Also the standard home and away format will be brought back after last two seasons
which were played inside the bio bubble in Kolkata. Participating teams in this year I-League will be Sudeva Delhi FC (Delhi), Rajasthan United FC (Jaipur), Roundglass Punjab FC (Chandigarh), Churchill Brother FC(Goa), Gokulam FC (Kerala), Kenkre FC (Mumbai), Aizwal FC (Mizoram), Neroca (Manipur), Real Kashmir (Kashmir), Sreenidhi Deccan FC (Hyderabad), Mohammedan FC(Kolkata) and TRAU(Manipur).
Sudeva Delhi FC will play from Chhatrasal Stadium which is located in Model Town, North
Delhi.

Having international coach & players on board and Indian players from all over the country. According to Head Coach, Mr Atsushi Nakamura, Sudeva Delhi FC is all set and ready to give a tough competition to all the teams. The preparations for the league is going great and we will not leave any stone unturned to revive the football culture in Delhi.

The international players
Daniel Cyrus from Trinidad & Tobago, Kosuke Uchida and Tetsuaki Misawa from Japan and
Isaac Essel Kwame from Ghana also joined Sudeva Delhi FC, along with the Indian players Nishchal Chandan, Sachin Jha, Lunkim Seigoulun Khongsai , Shubham Rawat and Shubho Paul.


Sudeva is an organization which was started in 2014 by two young entrepreneurs, Mr. Anuj Gupta (Solicitor in England) and Mr. Vijay Hakari (Environmentalist) sharing a common passion for raising the standards of football training in the country. The organization runs grassroots programs for potential talent, starting from the age of 9 years, right up to the senior level. Along with running a residential academy, we are a 2nd Division I-League club having teams in all I-league categories.
In a very short span of time, Sudeva has managed to add quite a few feathers in its cap. In
2016, Sudeva bought Moonlight FC, a Delhi based senior division club. Sudeva Moonlight FC
debuted in I-League 2nd Division League in the 2016-17 season. We are the first and up tillnow the only residential football academy in Delhi-NCR. Our football pitch had been selected as the official Training venue for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, 2017. Two of our boys
had also been selected in the U-17 FIFA World Cup India Camp along with numerous others
who have been selected in India Camp in the senior and U-18 Category. Senior I-League
team along with having a 3rd Division Team based in Xativa, Spain named “CD Olimpic De
Xativa”. Over 30 Indian players are housed and developed in the Spanish outfit.
