Delhi FC beat Uttarakhand FC 4-2

New Delhi: Heavy Rain or drizzling, it can hardly stop Football players and true lovers of the game to show their skill and support in the capital. On Friday,  two matches of Delhi Premier League 2022-23 were played on the wet field of Dr. Ambedkar Stadium and young Indians with some foreign players showed brilliant performance to thrilled the spectators including, Shaji Prabhakaran, President, Football Delhi, who were present to encourage them.

In a close contest Indian Air Force defeated Vatika FC 2-1. First half was goal less and Indian Air Force took the lead in the second half through Vivek Kumar’s goal in 61 minute.Vatika FC equalised in the 90+1minute through Nikhil Gahlot.

When everybody may have thought that match will end as 1-1 draw, Vivek Kumar once again came to the rescue and scored most important goal in 90+2 minute to give sensational 2-1 win to the Indian Air Force.

In the second match of the day Delhi FC beat Uttarakhand FC 4-2.They took early control in the match and leading with 4-0 at half time. Bali (19′), Kitboklang (21′), Fahad(26′) and Kouassi (27′) scored for Delhi FC.

In the second half Shobhit Bhandari opened the account for Uttarakhand FC with a brilliant header in the 58 minute, he again scored in the 84 minute but could not save Uttarakhand FC from 2-4 defeat.
