New Delhi:  Team ‘Baale Golf’ overcame a spirited challenge from team ‘Birdie Machine’ and with 4 wins out of their 7 games claimed a berth in the semi-finals of the ‘Lloyd Delhi Golf Club League – Powered by Vredestein Tyres’. ‘Baale Golf’ tallied 10 points as against ‘Birdie Machine’s’ 5.5 points.

In the opening session of the day, ‘BMW – Deutsche Motoren’ won 5 of their 7 games against team ‘Athletic Drive’ totaling 10.5 points as against their opponent’s effort of 5 points.

In the second session, ‘The A-Team’ won 5 matches out of 7 and drew the other 2 to total 12.5 points and register a comfortable win against team ‘MMG Coca-Cola’ who could manage only 3 points today.

With ‘Baale Golf’ triumphing in the third session, all eyes were trained on the final session of the day, where ‘team ‘Christie’s Golf’ took on team ‘Delhi Tigers’.  Christie’s took the opportunity to step on the gas and with 5 wins in their 7 games, tallying 11.5 points to ensure a semi-final berth.  ‘Delhi Tigers’ could muster only 3.5 points.

The League, being played at the historic par-72 Delhi Golf Club course, features 13 days of hard-fought golf and will conclude in a Grand Finale on October 22, 2022.
