New Delhi: Teams ‘Icons’ and ‘Ishum Eagles’ from Group A and ‘Charlies Angels’ and ‘Casual Gurus’ from Group B, booked their slots in the Finals of the Qutab Golf League2025 after a hard fought contest during the final match of the Round Robin stage at the Greg Norman Designed Jaypee Greens Golf Resort.

The 4th and final game of the Round Robin stage was played in the fourball better ball matchplay format. Team ‘Icons’ tallied 48 points for the four Round Robin matches while ‘Ishum Eagles’ totalled up 43.5 points in Group A. Group B witnessed the only All-Women’s team ‘Charlies Angels’ tally a staggering 52.5 points, while ‘Casual Gurus’ totalled 45 points.

The Grand Finale will be played at the Qutab Golf Course on December 6, 2025.

In Group A, Team Icons stormed ahead and secured the top position with 9 points on Day 4, taking their overall tally to 48 points. Key contributions came from the pairings of Kanav Chauhan & Wing Commander Gaurav Chaturvedi and Keshav Sharma & Neil Jolly, both earning 2.5 points each, while Zara Anand & Ashish Kapoor added another 2 points to seal their dominance.

The most intense battle of the day, however, was between ‘Ishum Eagles’ and ‘Drive Squad’—separated by just half a point in the fight for the second finals spot from Group A.

‘Ishum Eagles’ produced a remarkable comeback, scoring 9 points on Day 4 to finish at 43.5 points overall while Drive Squad with 43 points narrowly missed out. The pairings of Amit Bhati & Akshay Ojha and Paramvir Kaushik & Dilawar Singh delivered crucial 2.5 points each, while Anal Mehta & Anuj Nahar and Team Owner Karan Kapoor & Dhruv Kaickar chipped in with 2 points each, pushing ‘Ishum Eagles’ into the finals by the narrowest of margins.

‘Drive Squad’, despite strong performances from Kapil Khanna & Sanjay Lakra (2 points), earned 4.5 points on the day to finish at 43 points, missing the finals by just 0.5. ‘Swinging Shers’, the defending champions, ended Day 4 with 3 points (notably from Col.

Tikka Bedi & Rahul Sharma) to close at 32, while ‘Ultimate Stix’, led by the pairing of Sushant Khanna & Dr. Shirish Dutt (2 points), finished with 24 points overall.

In Group B, the all-ladies team ‘Charlie’s Angels’ continued their extraordinary run, finishing with the highest total across both groups — 52.5 points. They added 8.5 points on Day 4,with Amita Jalta & Nandita Kumar scoring 2.5 points, while the pairings of Anvvi Dahhiya & Neetu Bansal, Anushka Gupta & Sonu Kalkat, and Gunjan Bijlani & Lavanya Gupta all secured 2 points.

‘Casual Gurus’ booked the second finals spot from Group B, ending with 45 points after scoring 7 points on Day 4. The pairings of Dhruv Pal Singh & Suchit Arora and Gurtek Sodhi &

Yuvrajbir Singh delivered 2.5 points each, while Simarjeet Singh & Kabir Kishan Advani added 2 points.

‘Metro Legends’ finished third with 35.5 points, helped by contributions from Sunil Ahluwalia & Aakash Goyal and Akshay Handa & Vaibhav Sharma, both earning 2 points.

Team ‘Albatross’, stuck on 30.5 points, did not score on Day 4, and Vox Spartans earned 6 points (pairings of Sunaina Gera & Dhruv Goyal, Goonmeet Singh Chauhan & Anupam Mittal, and Sharad Maithel & Jaideep Chitlangia scoring 2 each) for a final tally of 10 points.

With the Finalists confirmed, the teams that missed the bus were—Drive Squad, Swinging Shers, Ultimate Stix, Metro Legends, Albatross, and Vox Spartans. The six of them will compete for the Plate Championship (Individual Stableford) on 6th December.

The Qutab Golf League 2025 is being played in a Team Championship Format with 10 teams contesting. Each team comprises a minimum of 14 players and a maximum of 16 players.

All in all, 160 players will be participating. Among those participating are leading golfers from the IGU (Indian Golf Union) Order of Merit including Keya Badugu , Zara Anand &Vinamra Anand (Team – Icons); Yogya Bhalla (Team- Charlies Angels); Mehak Lohan (Team -Swinging Shers) and Ayesha Gupta (Team – Ishum Eagles).

The League is played over five match days – in a Round-Robin Format for the first four days and will conclude with the Finals on the fifth match day. The Qutab Golf Course hostedthe opening two rounds on November 7 and 14. The ITC Classic Golf Resort hosted the third round on November 21 while the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort staged the fourth round on November 26. The Grand Finale will be held at the Qutab Golf Course on December 6, 2025.
