Team Golden Bullet Leads Competition Intensifies as Teams Jostle for Position After Day Two

New Delhi: Team Golden Bullets brought in another impressive repeat score of 176 points on Day 2 of the DGC Golden Members League to total 352(176+176) points. They are now comfortably ahead of the other teams and sit atop the leaderboard and look certain to make it to the Semi Finals.

Team Silver Bandits brought in the best team score of the day with 181 points and lie second on the leaderboard with a total of 346(165+181) points.

The next 4 teams are within 6 points of each other and the final round of the Round Robin stage which will be played on the 8th of March will determine which 4 teams will make it to the Knock Out stage. An exciting and close contest is anticipated.

Designed exclusively for golfers above 70 years of age, the unique league has two stages with different formats. In the first stage, the round robin stage, played in the stableford format, 11 best individual stableford scores of the team members contribute towards their team totals. The top 4 teams will then make it to the Knock Out stage which will be played in the Four Ball better ball matchplay format.

Individual Highlights

The standout individual performance of the day came from S. K. Nahar, who returned an outstanding 23 Individual Stableford points for his team Warriors Fusion. He was closely followed by G. P. S. Paintal, who delivered an excellent round of 21 Stableford points. The Ladies in the field continued to perform well and Monica Tandon emerged as the top performer with a commendable 17 Stableford points.
