New Delhi: Shyam Lal College defeated defending champions and hosts Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College 7–1 in a one-sided match to clinch the men’s crown in the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Hockey Tournament.

For the winning team, Pratyush Singh Jaggi and Pankaj scored two goals each, while Nand Kishore, Naveen, and Man Mohan scored one goal each. Rushil scored the only goal for Khalsa College.

Former Olympic hockey captain and Padma Shri awardee Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Deputy Director (Sports), Directorate of Education, Delhi, Mr. S. Sunil, renowned commentator and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ravi Chaturvedi, hockey historian and National Sports Promotion Award winner Mr. K. Arumugam, Noted Sports Journalist and President, Delhi Journalists Association Mr. Rakesh Thapliyal, Inderpreet Kaur, Director of Physical Education & Sports at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, presented the trophies and medals to the players.
