New Delhi: Good News for Indian Hockey! Top 80 senior men & women hockey players will get Rs 25,000 per month as Out-of-Pocket Allowance (OPA) underTarget Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS).

A decisions taken in 156th Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) meeting on June 19, 2025. As A Support for Senior Hockey Teams for the first time, MOC has approved Rs 25,000 per month as Out-of-Pocket Allowance (OPA) for Senior men’s hockey team and Senior women’s hockey team.

It applies to 80 national campers (40 men, 40 women) under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS).Total expenditure will be Rs 20 lakh per month.

Hockey India to submit player lists to SAI monthly.

This is part of recognition of men’s team’s recent achievements: Bronze at Paris 2024 Olympics, Bronze at Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Gold at Hangzhou Asian Games 2023.

Financial Approvals

Total athlete proposals approved: ₹ 4.28 Crore.
