New Delhi: BJP leader Shri Satish Upadhyay brought ‘Good Luck’ for the Indian Kettlebell team. On Friday afternoon, the moment Shri Upadhyay inaugurated the IUKL World Kettlebell Championship,  athletes from the host nation showed their high level of strength & fitness and started rain of Gold Medals at Talkatora Indoor Stadium.To the surprise of many, India has won a total of 12 medals including 11Gold to remain on top of the medals tally on day one of the prestigious championship. The powerhouse of Kettlebell Sport, Russia got four medals (3 Gold and 1Bronze) to remain on third place.

Kettlebell– A mainstream fitness tool, very useful to strengthen the muscles, is getting popular among India’s youth population on every passing day.

The IUKL World Kettlebell Championship was inaugurated by the Vice Chairman of NDMC Shri Satish Upadhyay. For the first time, the Kettlebell World Championship has been organized in India in which 15 (Australia, Bulgaria, France, India, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Magnolia, Nepal, Poland, Taiwan, USA, including USA, Russia, Taiwan, India, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka) countries are participating.

Shri Upadhyay welcomed players from all over the world and thanked Igor Solodov, President of the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting, for trusting India’s ability to organize the World Championship.

Kettlebell is a part of exercise in our everyday life and in all gyms. It is a matter of pride for us that since 2019 we are playing kettlebell in 25 states.
“The dream of Narendra Modi ji is Khelo India, Fit India and if we all remain healthy only then the country will go towards that goal. We should actively participate in the wave of Fit India Movement”, he said.
Harpal Singh Flora, President, KSIA thanked Shri Satish Upadhyay and said, “players from 15 countries are present at Talkatora Stadium for the World Championship, there is special support of Shri Satish Upadhyay ji because of which the event became possible. Satish ji is associated with many sports organizations, he has always contributed to the development of young players. We hope that he will continue to give his support and blessings to the younger generation while carrying forward the policies of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.”
