Bengaluru: UP Yoddhas, the GMR Group-owned franchise representing the state of Uttar Pradesh in the Pro Kabaddi League, secured their second consecutive 48-33 win with a massive 15-point margin over the Telugu Titans tonight, propelling them to the second spot in the league standings. Super raider Surender Gill, who emerged as the highest scorer for UP Yoddhas, earned 14 points, securing his second Super 10 of the ongoing season. He also received the Game Changer award for his outstanding performance in the game. Nitesh Kumar, who led the defense unit impressively, won the Moment of The Match award. Captain and Dubki King Pardeep Narwal continued his good form, providing crucial support to Gill by earning eight points from the game. UP Yoddhas who currently stand second in the league standings have 11 points to their kitty.

After winning the toss, UP Yoddhas invited Telugu Titans for the opening raid. Nitesh Kumar, the ankle hold specialist with his exceptional skills, opened the scorecard for his side. The Yoddhas capitalized on the early advantage, with points coming in quick succession from both the raid and defense departments. Dominating the mat, Yoddhas inflicted an early All-out on the Titans, racing ahead with a 7-point lead as the scorecard read 10-3 in their favor by eight minutes into the game. Shortly after, when the fresh squad of Titans returned to the mat following the All-Out, Surender Gill heroically penetrated the Titans’ defensive wall, executing a beautiful multi-point raid to further extend his side’s lead. However, Telugu Titans attempted a comeback, reducing their deficit from seven points to five as the scorecard read 22-17 in favor of UP Yoddhas by the end of the first half.

The second half began with UP Yoddhas maintaining their impressive form. Surender Gill, with able support from the Dubki King, Pardeep Narwal, and the defenders, ensured that the Yoddhas held a healthy lead throughout the game. They inflicted the second All-out on their opponents, racing ahead with a score of 32-23 in their favor with ten minutes left in the game. With just three minutes remaining in the game, Pardeep Narwal showcased his exceptional skills for which he is famous for, executing a 3-point Super-Raid on the Titans and pushing them close to another All-Out, with the scorecard reading 40-26 in favor of the Yoddhas. A minute later, UP Yoddhas inflicted their third All-Out, sealing their victory with a substantial margin, and the scorecard stood at 44-26 still in favor of the Yoddhas in the thirty-eighth minute of the game. Nitin, Nitesh, Sumit, and Gurdeep, who thwarted their opponent raiders, displayed a brilliant defensive show, collectively earning 15 points from the game. UP Yoddhas secured a comfortable win, prevailing 47-34 over the Telugu Titans.
