Singapore: The Asian Kho Kho Federation is pleased to announce its official recognition by the International Kho Kho Federation, marking a significant milestone in the development of Kho Kho across Asia.

The federation, representing 11 member nations, will serve as the premier governing body for the sport in the Asian region, with the next step being to take the sport to the Olympics.
In a landmark election held on December 20, 2024, the Asian Kho Kho Federation appointed its leadership team. Aslam Khan will serve as president, and M. Sathasivam will take the role of general secretary. Kshitij Aggarwal has been appointed as Co-Secretary, M.S. Tyagi as Treasurer, and Sanya Singh Aggarwal as Executive Director.
The federation brings together a coalition of eleven nations committed to advancing Kho Kho in Asia. The member nations include Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea and Sri Lanka. This diverse membership represents a strong foundation for the sport’s growth across the continent.

Shri Sudhanshu Mittal, President of the International Kho Kho Federation, welcomed the development, saying, “The formation of the Asian Kho Kho Federation represents a significant step forward in our mission to globalize this ancient sport. The IKKF is committed to supporting Asian Kho Kho Federation’s initiatives to promote and develop the sport across the region.”
Kshitij Aggarwal, Co-Secretary of the Asian Kho Kho Federation stated “Our vision extends beyond just organizing tournaments. We are committed to creating a robust ecosystem for Kho Kho in Asia, focusing on player development. The support from eleven national federations demonstrates the growing appetite for Kho Kho across Asia, and we are ready to meet these aspirations with concrete action plans.”


The Asian Kho Kho Federation will focus on developing grassroots programs, organizing regional tournaments, and creating opportunities for athletes to compete at the international level. This recognition strengthens the foundation for Kho Kho’s growth and development throughout Asia.
