New Delhi, 18 October, 2026: At the Opening Ceremony of the Asian Para Games 2026 at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, Team India proudly showcased Bharat’s rich heritage. Wearing ceremonial blazers featuring Indus Valley Civilisation motifs, SaptSindhu on the collar, and the Tricolour on the pocket, the contingent showcased the nation’s heritage at every step!

Today, at the Opening Ceremony of the 5th Asian Para Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, Team India walked out wearing more than just ceremonial dress — they wore 5,000 years of civilisation.
The Indian contingent’s ceremonial blazer is a tribute to our heritage: 🔱 Prints of seals from the Indus Valley Civilization — the ancient script and motifs of one of the world’s oldest civilisations 🌊 SaptSindhu on the collar — honouring the sacred land of seven rivers and the course of the mighty Saraswati 🇮🇳 The Indian Tricolour proudly placed on the pocket, over the heart

From the banks of the Saraswati to the arenas of Nagoya — our para-athletes carry the spirit of an ancient, unbroken civilisation into competition. Just as the Indus seals stood for identity and excellence millennia ago, this team stands for the same today.
Wishing Team India a phenomenal Games. The nation is behind you! 💪🥇
