Golden Chance: Shooter Manu Bhaker qualifies for women’s 10 meter Air Pistol final

Paris:India’s Manu Bhaker finished 3rd with a score of 580 in the qualification rounds of women’s10 meter Air Pistol event of the Paris Olympics, also shooting the highest number of Perfect Scores (27).

The Indian finished third after the 60 shots in the qualification round to finish with 580 points and 27 inner 10s. Her compatriot Rhythm Sangwan failed to make the cut after ending in 15th place.

She became the 1st Indian female shooter to reach an Olympic Final in an individual event in the last 20 years! The last time was Suma Shirur, who reached the Final of the 10m Air Rifle event in Athens 2004.

She also became the first Indian woman to qualify for the 10M AIR PISTOL WOMEN’S final round at any Olympics.The final round will take place at 3.30 pm.
