 DELHI SPRING POLO SEASON 2021

New Delhi : Army Service Corps (ASC) emerged winners of Army Polo Championship beating Armd Corps Black by 5 ½ goals to 5 in the finals played at Haifa Polo Ground, Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantt. Prizes were given away by Lt Gen CP Mohanty, PVSM,AVSM,SM,VSM  Vice Chief of the Army Staff to the players.

Finals of the Championship was played  between ASC and Armd Crops Black was a hard fought and closely contested affair. Cdr Akhil Sirohi scored one goal for ASC in 1st chukker who started with 1 ½ goal on handicap whereas Col Ravi Rathore scored a goal for Armd Corps Black. In the 2nd chukker Col Ravi Rathore and Maj Aman Singh scored one goal each for Armed Corps Black while ASC could not score any goal. In the 3rd chukker Cdr Akhil Sirohi and Col GS Pandher scored one goal each for ASC while Armd Corps could not score any goal. In the 4th chukker Col Ravi Rathore scored 2 goals for Armd Corps Black to increase their lead but during the dying minutes Cdr Akhil scored a goal and won the Championship. Scorers for ASC were – Cdr Akhil Sirohi (3), Col GS Pandher (1) and started with 1 ½ goal on handicap advantage. Scorers for Armd Corps Black were – Col Ravi Rathore (4), Maj Aman Singh (1).
