Power-packed performance by Indian Powerlifters, under the guidance of Coach Dronacharya Bhupender Dhawan, brought 12 medals including 8 gold

Ritesh and Surender won 3 gold each, Prabhjeet Singh Bakshi got 2 gold medals

New Delhi: Power-packed performance by Indian Powerlifters, under the guidance of Coach Dronacharya Bhupender Dhawan, brought 12 medals including 8 gold medals in the Commonwealth Championship held at England, U.K.

Led by Ritesh Dogra lifting 300kg Raw Deadlift, created new record and won 3 gold in 90kg Class Raw with total lift of 767.5kg., Surender Singh won 3 gold in 100kg Class Raw with total lift of 735kg, Prabhjeet Singh Bakshi won 2 gold and 1 silver in 110kg class raw with total lift of 670kg, and Gulshan Saini won 2 gold and 1 bronze in 75kg Class Raw with total lift of 512.5kg.
