Amity School of Engineering and Technology received Champions Trophy of Sangathan 2023.

Noida: Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida campus was abuzz with excitement as the 24th Inter Amity Institutions Sports Meet, Sangathan-2023, culminating into Founder’s Day celebrations came to an end, amidst loud cheers and thunderous applause. Amity School of Engineering & Technology was declared the winner of Sangathan-2023 and Amity Law School got the second prize, while Amity Institute of Psychology and Allied Sciences was awarded the third prize during the Valedictory Ceremony of Sangathan-2023

Awarding the trophy to the winners, Shri Manish Verma, District Magistrate Gautam Buddha Nagar, said, “Amity is a renowned institution in the field of education not only in the country but in the whole world. Students learn discipline and imbibe values from their school and home, therefore, it is very important to choose an institution like Amity which provides holistic education along with great human values. Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President of Amity Education Group is a source of inspiration and is a living example of an exemplary achiever and a revolutionary reformer for the students and they must take inspiration from his success. Students must never hesitate to ask questions, they should never worry about what others think and continue to follow their passion.” He called upon the students to always dream big and work towards fulfilling their dreams.

Sharing his words of wisdom, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, said, “Amity is not only an institution where knowledge is imparted but it is a place for cultural and social exchange, nurturing peace, harmony and imbibing high cultural values amongst its students. Amity is the only university in the whole world where such a large number of students participate in sports competitions, every year. Sangathan means a group of people working towards a concrete goal and the attributes of team spirit, leadership and strategic thinking are developed by participating in sports competitions. Amity is making its students future ready who will contribute to making India a Global Superpower by 2030.”

Release of Sangathan Sovenir at Amity University. 

The Valedictory Programme commenced with the lighting of “Khel Jyoti”, by the Amity Sports Captains followed by a March Past by the Marching Contingents of various Amity institutions across India and abroad. On this occasion, students of Amiown, Amitasha & Atulasha also presented mesmerizing performances. Vibrant cultural performances by the students of various Amity institutions showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and diversity, were also presented by the students, a day prior to the Valedictory Ceremony. “Sangathan-2023” Souvenir was also released by Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group.

Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Chairperson, Sangathan- 2023 presented a detailed report and summary of Sangathan- 2023. A total of 22 sports competitions were organized during Sangathan-2023, in which a total of 33 teams from 65 institutions participated in sports such as hockey, handball, cricket, volleyball, kho kho, badminton, table tennis, soft ball, tug of war and many other sporting events. Amity School of Engineering and Technology won 16 gold, 19 silver and 9 bronze medals scoring a total of 146 points. Amity Law School Noida won 18 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze medals, scoring a total of 142 points and Amity Institute of Psychology and Allied Sciences won 14 Gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals, scoring a total of 90 points. In the Amity Inter University Competition, Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida Campus was awarded the Winner’s Trophy, Amity University Haryana campus was awarded the First Runners Up Trophy and Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, was awarded the Second Runners Up Trophy. The event concluded with a Fitness Demonstration by the students of Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (ASPESS) & Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine (AIISM) and distribution of medals, trophies and shields to the winners.
