New Delhi: The DelhiSpring Polo Season, 2021 have started and the lovers of Polo enjoying it under the bright sunshine.The Polo matches of new season are in progress from  February 23 and it will end on April 4, 2021.

As we know Army Polo & Riding Centre (APRC), New Delhi, affiliated with the Indian Polo Association and Equestrian Federation of India which are the governing bodies of Polo and Equestrian in the Country respectively, conducts two annual polo seasons in the Capital during Oct to Dec  and Feb to Mar every year.  The aim of the Centre is to promote polo and equestrian sports in the Country particularly in the Capital.

 The Matches are being played at the Army Equestrian Centre (AEC) Delhi Cantt from 10:30 AM and Jaipur Polo Ground (JPG) (inside Delhi Race Course) from 2:00 PM.

Polo Calendar 2021

ROYAL KOAS GENERAL SPARROW CUP (4 GOAL)  started on Wednesday as opening tournament of the Delhi Spring Polo Season 2021 with 5 teams participating.  The tournament will be played on league basis.  Two top teams will play the final on  February 28, 2021.On Wednesday two league matches were played  at Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantt.  Opening  match of the tournament was played  between Cavalry-RVC and Jindal Panther  in which Jindal Panther beat Cavalry-RVC team by 10 goals to Nil.  Scores for Jindal Panther were, Mr Matt Perry 06 goals, Mr Akshai Malik 02 goals, Mr Shaurya Vikram 01 goal and Mr Arif Khan 01 goal.  Cavalry-RVC could not score any goal.

    Second league match was played  between Col Girdhari Singh ASC and Jindal Steel & Power in which Jindal Steel & Power beat Col Girdhari Singh ASC by 6 goals to 5 ½ goals.    Scores for Jindal Steel & Power were Mr Phil Seller -03 goals, Mr Venkatesh Jindal 02 goals and Mr Mahesh Sharma 01 goal.   Scores for Col Girdhari Singh ASC were Mr Rehat S Virk 02 goals, Sep Ravinder Mang 01 goal,  Mr Salim Azmi 01 goal and started with 1 ½ goal on handicap advantage.

  Tomorrow’s fixture – League matches of Royal Koas General Sparrow Cup (4 Goal) at Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantt :-  03:00 PM –  Lancers Vs        Cavalry RVC.
