New Delhi:  AAINBALL Federation of India is  feeling proud on successful participation of the Indian AAINBALL team in the prestigious International University Championship, held at Hashmite University in Amman, Jordan, from July 22nd to 25th, 2023. The championship showcased the incredible talent and passion of university athletes from around the world.

Indian team got 4th place in the ten team Championship.
Vice Admiral SN Ghormade PVSM AVSM NM ADC Former Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (Advisor,
Aainball Federation) said, As the Indian team returns home after this exhilarating journey to
Jordan, they carry with them the pride and determination of representing the nation on the global sporting stage. This sport has promise as it promotes well being, stimulates the brain, improves concentration and is game that can be played by a family with no bar of age. Further, the fact that a girl can lead the team further promotes our encouragement to enhance Nari Shakti.


Sponsored by university of science & technology, Meghalaya (USTM), the Indian team displayed
their exceptional skills as they competed in an intense knockout match against Iraqi University.
USTM Chancellor Habibul Hoque’s unwavering support for sports and education has been instrumental in providing opportunities for talented athletes like Dipankar Kalita, who previously won the silver trophy for the nation during the Morocco tournament. USTM’s commitment to nurturing sporting talent is commendable and has contributed significantly to the team’s success.
IPS Nitul Gogoi,  Director of Northeast AAINBALL Federation said, Led by the dynamic and talented ‘Miss Assam’ Kavita Narzary, Indian team gave their best performance, making the nation proud. Among the ten participating countries, Hashmite University Jordan emerged victorious, securing the championship trophy by defeating Iraqi University in the finals.
The Vice-Chancellor of USTM, Shri G.D Sharma, who also serves as the President of All India
University Association, has been a great advocate for promoting sports culture across universities
in India. His vision of fostering a fit India aligns perfectly with AAINBALL Federation India’s goal of encouraging sports and fitness among the youth. Mr. Pratap Singh Chauhan, Founder President of AAINBALL Federation, expressed his excitement for the future of AAINBALL in India and unveiled plans for the upcoming Chakravarti Championship. This championship will be hosted in picturesque tourist destinations such as Kutch, Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Udaipur with the support of erstwhile Royal Families.

The event aims to bring together 55 international clubs, further promoting the growth and popularity of AAINBALL. Syed M. Waseem,  General Secretary,  Aainball Federation of India, highlighted the unique and inclusive nature of AAINBALL as a sport that welcomes and empowers both male and female athletes which promotes gender equality.
Mr. Ashwini Sharma, President Aainball Association, Assam emphasized the significance of
Miss Assam Kavita Narzary leading the Indian team, symbolizing the progressive spirit of Indian sports and proud moment for entire northeast. Rahul Patil Director Asian AAINBALL Council said – AAINBALL, with its thrilling and adventurous nature, has gained recognition not only in India but also internationally. It is a sport that transcends borders, uniting athletes from diverse  backgrounds. Kargil war hero Col Rajesh Adhau (Head, Medical Committee Aainball) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the YOTI Foundation for their relentless efforts in promoting the sport and organizing successful events, including the Snow International Championship in Jammu and Kashmir. Their dedication to sports tourism and creating opportunities for athletes is truly commendable.
