Manila, Philippines: The Philippine National Volleyball Federation has hosted Annual General Meet of National Federation Presidents (FIVB-AVC National Federations Meeting).

Dr. Achyuta Samanta, President of Volleyball Federation of India, represented his country in the meeting.

According to Dr. Samanta, ” I am happy to contribute to the Annual General Body Meeting of the National Federation Presidents under the aegis of Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). Exchanged views, prospects of partnership and way ahead with other presidents and learnt many new trajectories”.

Dr. Samanta, while sharing his experience wrote in his FB wall, “one moment that I will carry in my heart from Philippines is the embrace by Mr Ary Graca, President of FIVB after hearing our inspirational stories of struggles, rising against the odds and unmatched humility”.

Soon after reaching Manila,  Dr. Samanta wrote, “Here’s a photo of the warm reception we got at the airport, all thanks to the organisers”.

Dr. Samanta also met Hon’ble Ambassador of India to Philippines, Mr. Shambhu S. Kumaran. About this meeting he said, “We had wide ranging discussions on expanding India – Philippines engagement, especially in academics and sports”.

Dr. Samanta was very pleased to meet with the delegation from Bangladesh, who are in Manila to attend FIVB-AVC National Federations Meeting, F.M. Borhan Uddin, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Philippines, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor and President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Atiqul Islam, Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) President, Mohammed Latheef.
