New Delhi: The Indian women wrestlers continue to demonstrate their dominance on the international wrestling stage. At the prestigious Yasar Dogu International Wrestling Tournament currently being held in Turkey, India entered a contingent of 6 women wrestlers — and delivered a remarkable performance.

Out of the 6 participants, 5 Indian women wrestlers clinched medals, securing an outstanding 4 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal, which led India to finish as the Runner-Up in the overall team rankings.

Despite entering only 6 wrestlers, India made a powerful impact. Host nation Turkey secured the 1st position, while Kazakhstan stood 3rd.

The medal winners are:

55 Kg. Pushpa – Gold

57 Kg. Neha – Gold

62 Kg. Manisha – Gold

72 Kg. Harshita – Gold

50 Kg. Neelam – Bronze

This impressive feat once again highlights the strength, resilience, and consistency of Indian women in global wrestling competitions.

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) acknowledges the continuous support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Sports Authority of India (SAI), and the entire wrestling community, whose collective efforts are helping elevate Indian wrestling to greater heights.
