On Saturday, Indian Free Style Wrestling Team gave remarkable performance by winning 1 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze Medals

  • India got 15 Medals in the Men’s categories of Free Style, Greco Roman and Women Wrestling
  • Women wrestlers have won two Silver and three Bronze Medals
  • Men also won five Bronze Medals in Greco Roman Style

New Delhi: Tokyo Olympic silver Medalist wrestler Ravi Kumar created history by winning third consecutive Gold Medal in the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship 2022 at Ulaanbaatar.

On Saturday, Indian Free Style Wrestling Team gave remarkable performance by winning 1 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze Medals in the prestigious Championship of Asia.

Ravi defeated Kazakhstan Wrestler by 12-2 points in 57 Kg. of Men’s Free Style to win his third consecutive Gold Medal.

The two Silver Medals were won by Bajrang Punia and Gaurav Baliyan. Naveen and Satyavrat Kadian won two Bronze Medals for the country.

The bouts in remaining 5 weight categories of Free Style will be held tomorrow.

Olympic Bronze Medal winner Bajrang Punia lost in the final of 65 kg. and settled for Silver Medal.

Gaurav Baliyan, 79 Kg. lost in the final bout and settled for Silver Medal.

Satyavrat Kadian in 97 kg. clinched Bronze Medal by defeating Turkmenistan wrestler by 10-0.

Naveen in 70 kg. Won Bronze Medal by defeating Mongolian wrestler By fall.

So far, Indian wrestlers have won a total of 15 Medals in the Championship.

Till Friday, India got ten medals in Greco Roman and Women categories. Women wrestlers have won Two Silver and three Bronze Medals. Men have won five Bronze Medals in Greco Roman Style
