Both the Indian Women wrestlers have reached in the finals of the Asian Olympic Wrestling qualifiers in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

New Delhi: Two Indian women wrestlers Anshu Malik, 57 Kg. and Sonam, 62 Kg. have earned the quota for Tokyo Olympic Games. They have reached in finals of the Asian Olympic Wrestling qualifiers in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

18-year-old wrestler Sonam Malik qualifies for Tokyo Olympics in Women’s 62kg category. She defeated Ayaulym Kassymova of Kazakhstan 9-6 in the semi-finals.

Anshu Malik in 57 Kg. category defeated Uzbek wrestler by 12-2 points. Results of earlier rounds are-

First Round : Defeated Korean Wrestler by 10-0

Second Round : Defeated Kazak Wrestler by 10-0

Semifinal : Defeated Uzbek wrestler by 12-2 points

Final will be held with Mongolian Wrestler

Sonam Malik-62 Kg.

First Round : Defeated Chinese Wrestler by 5-2

Second Round : Defeated Taipei Wrestler by 11-0

Semifinal : Defeated Kazak wrestler by 9-6 points

Final will be held with Chinese Wrestler.
