New Delhi: In a nail-biting finale, Kirori Mal College emerged victorious to lift the men’s crown at the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Basketball Tournament, held at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi.

The championship clash turned into a high-intensity contest as Kirori Mal College edged past the host team, SGTB Khalsa College, with a razor-thin margin of 79–78. The match kept spectators on the edge of their seats and eventually extended into extra time before the winners were decided.

The closely fought encounter highlighted the competitive spirit and rising talent in university-level basketball, making the tournament a memorable sporting event in the capital.

Delivering a standout performance, Dev Kapoor of Kirori Mal College was adjudged the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution under pressure.

Meanwhile, Hardik Sharma from SGTB Khalsa College earned the Player of the Tournament award for his consistent excellence throughout the competition.

The chief guest Prof Rajni Abbi, Director South campus along with other guests, Mr Mukesh Kalia-President Delhi Basketball Association,  Mr Lalit Watts-Advisor PSPB, Mr Ashok Rangeen, Gen Secretary- DBA, Dr Susheel Kumar-Assistant Director- DUSC along with Principal, Prof Gurmohinder Singh & Dr Inderpreet Kaur, D.P.E distributed the awards to the winners & runners up team.
The tournament was sponsored by Petroleum Sports Promotion board and Ayouth Veda. The tournament was live streamed on Indian Live Sports Hub.
