New Delhi: A magnificent unbeaten century by opener Yogesh helped Goswami Ganesh Dutt Tournament Organizing Committee clinch the Late Diwan Chaman Lal Katyal Trophy.

In the annual match played on Sunday at St. Stephen’s College Ground, the host team defeated the Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA) by five wickets.

Chief Guest Mr. Amit Grover, Joint Secretary, DDCA, Mr. B.P Sareen and Mr. Magan Presenting the runner-up trophy to Abhishek Tripathi, captain DSJA Team. 

Yogesh’s explosive knock of 102 not out off just 39 balls, with 14 fours and 5 sixes, earned him the Man of the Match award. DSJA’s Amit Chaudhary, who scored 41 runs and took 1 wicket, was given Fighter of the Match award.

The 51st All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament (Regd.) 2026 is currently underway. In this annual fixture, after winning the toss, Goswami Ganesh Dutt Tournament Organizing Committee captain Vikas Katyal elected to field first. Batting first, DSJA posted a challenging 165/8 in 20 overs.

For DSJA, Amit Chaudhary top scored with 41 runs (29 balls, 6 fours), Rishabh (36), Lalit Kalidas (32), Vinay Yadav (29) and Lokesh Sharma (24) were main contributors.

Jatin Sharma was the most successful bowler with 3 wickets for 18 runs. Devansh Gupta and Samriddhi Dhingra picked up 2 wickets each.

In reply, the Goswami Ganesh Dutt Tournament Organizing Committee chased down the target in just 15.4 overs, reaching 167/5 to win by five wickets.Yogesh starred with an unbeaten 102 off 39 balls.Captain Vikas Katyal remained unbeaten on 35 runs.

For DSJA, Rakesh Thapliyal was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets for 21 runs. Akash Rawal, Amit Chaudhary, and Lokesh Sharma took one wicket each.
