New Delhi: Tejaswi Dahiya was the highest-sold player of the Delhi Premier League T20 Season 3 men’s auction at Rs 40 lakhs, with South Delhi Superstarz using their RTM card to secure him.

The Delhi Premier League T20 Season 3 men’s Auction concluded here on Wednesday, with all eight franchises completing their squads across multiple rounds. The auction opened with the Marquee round, in which eight players were sold across teams.

South Delhi Superstarz retained the services of one of their most valuable players, reaffirming their faith in the dynamic wicketkeeper-batter ahead of the 2026 season.

Tejasvi Dahiya has been a key performer for South Delhi Superstarz since season 1, earning recognition for his explosive batting, dependable wicketkeeping, and ability to deliver under pressure.

His last season’s heroics helped him get picked up for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the TATA IPL 2026. The franchise believes his experience and match-winning ability will continue to play a crucial role in the team’s pursuit of the Delhi Premier League title.

Speaking on the retention, the South Delhi Superstarz management said that Tejasvi has consistently displayed the qualities of a match-winner, and retaining him for a record ₹40 lakh reflects the franchise’s confidence in his abilities and its long-term vision of building a championship-winning squad.

With the highest bid of the auction so far, South Delhi Superstarz have made a strong statement ahead of the 2026 Delhi Premier League, underlining their intent to assemble a formidable team capable of challenging for the title.

New Delhi Tigers invoked their RTM to pick up Himmat Singh for Rs 38 lakhs, while North Delhi Strikers matched the Rs 17 lakh bid for Sarthak Ranjan.

Anuj Rawat went to Puraani Dilli 6 for Rs 27 lakhs, while Kuldip Yadav, Suyash Sharma, Navdeep Saini and Simarjeet Singh were all picked up at base price by Central Delhi Kings, West Delhi Lions, Outer Delhi Warriors and East Delhi Riders respectively.

The remaining unsold players from the Marquee set were moved into the Category A pool at a revised base price of Rs 5 lakhs.

By the time the hammer fell on the final lot, all eight franchises had assembled 23-to-26-player squads built around their retained Marquee names.

Central Delhi Kings anchor their campaign around Kuldip Yadav, Yash Dhull and Vansh Bedi; East Delhi Riders around Simarjeet Singh, Mayank Yadav and Mayank Rawat; New Delhi Tigers around Himmat Singh and Prince Yadav; and North Delhi Strikers around Harshit Rana and Sarthak Ranjan. Outer Delhi Warriors will lean on Navdeep Saini and Priyansh Arya, Puraani Dilli 6 on Anuj Rawat, Digvesh Rathi and Lalit Yadav, South Delhi Superstarz on Ayush Badoni and Tejasvi Dahiya, and West Delhi Lions on Nitish Rana, Suyash Sharma and Kulwant Khejroliya.

With squads now locked in, attention turns to the season ahead, as all eight franchises look to blend their experienced picks with a deep bench of uncapped and emerging players.
