New Delhi: Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi, proudly hosted UMANG 8.0 – Blossom & Visual Narration of Tradition: Viksit Bharat @2047, its flagship inter-college cultural event, organized by the Garden Committee and Eco-Club in collaboration with IQAC and the Department of Botany. Celebrating eight successful years, UMANG continues to shine as a vibrant cultural initiative of East Delhi.

Centered on the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047,” the event beautifully blended India’s rich traditions with its aspirational future. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar, Principal, who highlighted the role of cultural expression in building a progressive and sustainable society.

The event featured exciting competitions in Rangoli, Photography, and Quiz, showcasing artistic brilliance, cultural awareness, and intellectual excellence from students across the University of Delhi. A lively exhibition of traditional culture and the participation of inspiring social enterprises and creative initiatives added an entrepreneurial and sustainable dimension to the celebration.

Winners were awarded prizes and certificates, with judges appreciating the originality and depth of the entries.

UMANG 8.0 once again reaffirmed Shyam Lal College’s commitment to nurturing heritage, creativity, and holistic student development.
