Anuj Chandra stole the limelight, helping his team qualify for the Finals

New Delhi: History repeated itself at the Delhi Golf Club today, when Teams Golden Bullets and Silver Bandits cruised into the Finals for the second season running at the Delhi Golf Club Golden Members League.

In the inaugural edition of the League in 2025, Golden Bullets beat Silver Bandits to register an emphatic win. Sunday, March 15, 2026, will witness the two teams clash again in a first of its kind Final.

In the final game of the day, Anuj Chandra stole the limelight for Silver Bandits nailing a 40- yard chip shot to a foot from the pin to facilitate his team’s entry into the Final.

The Semi-Final was played on a Four Ball Better Ball Format where the better score of each pair was counted hole wise. Each of the four teams had fielded 12 players, playing in 6 groups.

In the first Semi-Final between Golden Bullets and Kingpins, Golden Bullets triumphed in 4 out of 6 games while Kingpins managed a victory in 1 game while the other was tied.

The next Semi-Final clash was between Silver Bandits and Golden Youngsters wherein, Silver Bandits won 3 out of 6 games while their adversaries managed only 1 win with the remaining two games resulting in ties.

The League celebrates the spirit of golf among the club’s distinguished members above 70 years of age and they continued to produce a blend of consistency, experience, and moments of brilliance on the course. Played in a Stableford-based team format, the Round Robin stage of the competition counted the best 11 individual scorecards from each team’s line up, ensuring that depth and teamwork remained the crucial factors in determining daily outcomes.

SEMI FINAL – 1 Game 1 – AK Virmani and AK Mehra from Kingpins won 1Up against Harinder Bansi and Vinay Singh of Golden Bullets

Game 2 – Lal Raisinghani and Ranjit Mehta of Golden Bullets and Sanjaya Varma and Daljit Walia of Kingpins ended up drawing the game

Game 3 – Himant Kapoor and Navneet Singh of Golden Bullets won 2&1 against Ronen Pawar and Shiv Inder Singh of Kingpins

Game 4 – Shiv Nath and Sanjiv Bhasin of Golden Bullets won 2&1 against Col RPS Mann and Yogesh Prasad of Kingpins

Game 5 – Achal Nath and Madhu Misra of Golden Bullets won 3&1 against Jitender Kumar and Neelam Sihota of Kingpins

Game 6 – Ashok Khanna and Ashok Malik of Golden Bullets won 2&1 against Vijay Dhawan and Anil Mehendru of Kingpins

SEMI FINAL – 2 Game1 – Arun Seth and Wg Cdr Jaspal Singh of Silver Bandits won 2UP against Dr Anil Kohli and Arun Sehgal of Golden Youngsters

Game 2 – Vijay Kr Topa and Shiban Ganju of Golden Youngsters won 2&1 against Deepak Jaini and AS Johar of Silver Bandits

Game 3 – BP Ojha and Kiran Rai of Silver Bandits won 3&1 against Raj Bhargava and Rajesh Mehta of Golden Youngsters

Game 4 – Jaipal Hundal and KK Sabherwal of Silver Bandits won 3&1 against Ashok Singh and Monica Tandon of Golden Youngsters

Game 5 – Anil Taneja and Ritu Lumba of Silver Bandits drew the game with Chaman Lal Jain and Chetan Singh of Golden Youngsters

Game 6 – Anuj Chandra and Kulbir Kohli of Silver Bandits drew the game with Bindi Bedi and Atul Nath of Golden Youngsters
