New Delhi: In Star Sports’ latest installment of the ‘Believe’ series, titled ‘To Death and Back,’ Rishabh Pant, India’s brightest cricketing talent, bares his soul. From the dizzying heights of success to the depths of despair after a near-fatal car accident, Pant’s journey is a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Watch as Rishabh Pant narrates and describes his journey towards glory, premiering on the Star Sports Network on Thursday, 1st February 2024, which is the same date that he made his international debut for Team India, seven years ago.

In the promo shared by Star Sports for their ‘Believe’ series, Rishabh Pant said “I thought my time was done in this world. I had let go. For the first time I got such a feeling. Just like seeing light after a dark tunnel, I too started seeing the light.”

He added “I only focus on recovery. Whether one believes in you or not, if you have belief in yourself, then you start to think you can do anything.”

He also acknowledged the gift of getting a second life, and how he is not taking anything for granted, he said “After the accident, when I just lifted the bat, to see how it feels, wore my gloves, and tried to get my thought process back. Not everyone gets this second life. A lot of things have been added on in my life, I want that to be a part of my second life as well.”

The promo unveils Pant’s raw emotions as he recounts staring into the abyss, facing the chilling reality that his cricketing dreams could be shattered forever. In his candid interview, Pant shares intimate details of his grueling rehabilitation journey. Each step, each setback, only fueled his resolve to reclaim his rightful place on the cricket field. He speaks of the countless hours of sweat and tears, the relentless pursuit of perfection, undeterred by skepticism or doubt.

As he cradles the cricket bat in his hands once more, Pant reflects on the precious gift of a second chance at life. In the ‘Believe’ series, Rishabh Pant’s journey transcends the boundaries of sport. It is a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the human spirit.
