NEW DELHI: The 41st edition of VK Pahuja swimming statistical is released by Dr.Sanjeeb Kumar Patjoshi, IPS, here on Wednesday. The V. K. Pahuja Swimming Statistical Bulletin is in the memory of Late Mr. V. K. Pahuja, who started this swimming bulletin four decades back. He was an eminent National Medalist Swimmer and International Water Polo player of his time, but above all, he was a great human being, soft-spoken and always ready to help everyone.

Mr. Pahuja used to visit different Newspaper offices to give this Swimming Bulletin to his journalist friends. This Swimming Statistical Bulletin is very useful to check any National and International records. Those were the days with no internet or Google facility available, this was a ready reference of Swimming. Sports lovers from all over India used to ask Mr. Pahuja when the next Edition is coming? After the death of Mr.V K Pahuja, most of us thought that we will not be able to see the next edition of the Swimming Statistical Bulletin, but his two daughters Dr. Supriya Pahuja and Dr. Meenakshi Pahuja and son Priyank Pahuja worked very hard and taking forward the legacy of their late father.

Mr. Pahuja was also a highly reputed swimming coach who served in various significant positions, such as FINA International Water Polo Referee, Member of the International Swimming Statistician Association, Official Statistician of the Swimming Federation of India and School Games Federation of India. He always believed in and promoted swimming as a sport for health, pleasure and safety.

Till his last breath, he was willing to help, serve and contribute further to this cause. The bulletin serves as a swimming-ready reference with six sections that cover from the local level to international level records.
